A Yin Yoga practice to nourish your nervous system.
Welcome to this Yin Yoga practice. Whether you are new to this type of yoga practice or have already done yoga or yin yoga before, I wanted to share that in the following videos you will find very valuable and practical information about why we do certain asanas (yoga postures) and how and why they benefit the organic, energetic and emotional bodies. Continue reading below if you want to know more.
I come from a macrobiotic family in which the principles of Yin and Yang (feminine and masculine) were highly integrated in order to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Traditional Chinese Medicine (based on these principles) determines that in our body there is a system of energy channels called meridians, which interconnects the most superficial layers of our body with deeper areas such as organs and also with our external world. Under this approach, the yin yoga practice and in general, any yoga asana that you have practiced or heard about, has been developed.
In these videos that I share with you, we will delve into the practice of the WATER Element or Movement, which benefits the kidneys, bladder and central nervous system. This practice is wonderful in moments of stress, fear, anxiety, panic and fatigue and also to prevent these states. I recommend that you practice it as many times as you want throughout the week before going to sleep, since that way you will see how you enjoy a more restful rest.
I also share with you a small explanatory intro video to WATER and an explanation about how yin yoga works and what is its main differentiation with respect to other types of yoga. It is important that in your Yin yoga practice you have pillows, blankets and cushions in addition to your yoga mat (and if you don't have a mat it is fine if you use a blanket since all the postures are lying or sitting) and that you honor your body: that is, if you experience any stinging sensations do not force and simply allow yourself to breathe and create space while holding the pose to inhabit (a word I love to use because it so well describes the beautiful feeling of experiencing yourself through the asana).
All these videos are part of the 50HRS YIN YOGA ONLINE TEACHER TRAINING in which we delve into the different emotions that humans experience, we better understand what happens in our body system when we do not go through those emotions and we learn to manage and navigate them in a sweeter and more harmonious way in order to live a more balanced life in all aspects. This training is not just for yoga teachers that would like to improve their teaching skills but also to anybody that would like to know in depth the principles of the meridian system and Tradicional Chinese Medicine to improve their overall wellbeing. You have more information about this at the bottom of this page.
I wish with all my heart that you make use of these videos and that their content serves you in whatever process you are in and that you let me know how your experience was!

50HRS CERTIFIED BY THE YOGA ALLIANCE
Yin Yoga Online Teacher Training
The wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Asana and Zen Meditation.
learn comfortably from home!
Yoga practice in the West has evolved towards a more yang, more masculine and active dynamic. Through the practice of yin, we find a more balanced practice in which the fasciae, the organic system and especially the joints are strengthened and harmonized.
After years of study with professionals such as Sarah Powers, Tina Nance, Jimi Wollumbin and her own family (formed in a Zen Macrobiotic context), Maite comes to share with her students the wisdom acquired from her throughout the entire her life. We will not only delve into the asana, but we will also explore in detail the meridian system, important acupressure points, the organic system, vipassana meditation in the asana, silence and mindfulness; adjustments and adaptations for people with special conditions, philosophy and principles of traditional Chinese medicine and the System of the 5 elements or Movements.
Without a doubt, a training that will enrich your perspective and approach to yoga, meditation, health and holistic practice in general. Ideal for active yoga teachers as well as for all those students and yoga practitioners who want to delve into the philosophical principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zen and in a more meditative and Conscious practice than is commonly experienced in the West in recent years. time.
