The 1 Day Silence Treat
Imagine one full day without phone and without answering emails. A day without having to please anyone but you, respecting your own rythms and flows…
In silence, your soul speaks... On this one-day treat you will establish contact with the experience of silence, of the calmness that you experience by detaching yourself from your thoughts and feelings. It is a little oasis in the middle of the daily hustle and bustle, to reset and connect with the pleasure and relaxation of slowing down.
This mini-retreat of silence is more than a yoga and meditation retreat. It is a special way of practicing the 'Art of doing Nothing' and simply 'Rest, Sleep, Eat and Repeat' in Silence, and in the middle of nature, surrounding yourself with like-minded people who share this intimate and sacred space with you. You are invited to join in the meditation and yoga practices (basic Hatha postures), walk freely in the garden, and take personal notes that will help you to empty your mind from noise.
We spend too much time looking outside of ourselves. The outer world is just a reflection of our inner world. And simply by turning our attention inwards, we gain the ability to change what is happening in the external world.
At first, this inner turning is only possible through the practice and cultivation of meditation and silence. Specially through mindfulness meditation: the even-tempered and constant observation of the present moment, just as it is.
This 1 Day Silence Treat is an escape from daily life: we have created the perfect environment for you to relax, disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with peace in your inner world. It is a space for you to be during these hours in a careful space so that you only take care of yourself.

During this Mini-Retreat you will practice guided mindfulness meditation, multilevel yoga and sound therapy (to break the silence).
You will have fixed schedules for yoga, silence and contemplation and plenty of free time to enjoy in the retreat area.
Facilities and other info:
Arrival at the latest at 8:00 am, for registration as the briefing begins at 8:30 am. Departure the same day at 8:30 p.m. (unless you want to continue with the group to see the sunset).

Yoga and meditation material (you can bring your own).
2 vegetarian meals (breakfast and lunch).
Water and herbal tea.
1 morning yoga session.
1 sound therapy session.
Guided Meditations.
Time and space to rest in the garden.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:
Airfares, transportation from the airport to the venue.
Accommodation in Tarifa or surroundings.
Transfer by car to the venue (although we will organize cars among the participants).

WHAT TO BRING:
Comfortable clothes for yoga and meditation.
Beach towel in case you want to lie in nature.
Flip flops and sports shoes for walking in nature.
Autumn and summer clothes (in the evening it can be cold).
Earplugs if you meditate better with them.
Mosquito repellent if you are sensitive to bites.
Notebook and pen if you like to paint or write your inspirations.
Your own bottle of water.
Your own meditation and yoga accessories if you want to use your own.
IMPORTANT: Your mobile phone and any online connection are prohibited during the retreat and will be given at registration.

*In your free time we encourage you to stay within the retreat center areas and continue practicing noble silence and meditation, journaling or just resting/sleeping.
The daily schedule may be subject to change, depending on the time of year. In this 1 Day Silence Treat you have a lot of time for yourself. Yoga, meditation and Sound Therapy are mandatory. Make sure you attend all compulsory activities on time (there will be an audible call to notify you) to not to interrupt the course.

Hi, I am Maite. My passion has been since a child, the mystery of who we really are and how the connection body-mind really happens. Since I was a little girl, I experienced surprisingly fast somatizations. Every time something did or did not resonate with me, my body was reacting. My body (so it is yours) is the vessel that your soul uses to manifest. And this is why it is constantly communicating with us; sometimes even fighting (through dis-ease) with our minds.
So I was fully aware of this connection, but I did not understand how did it actually work. Though my path in Hatha Yoga, Yin yoga and mindful meditation, this connection increased. It is also through my years of study, investigation through the ancient text of Yoga, Vedas, the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Neuroscience and self inquiry practice that I really found the answers. And this is what I am here today for: to share with you this knowledge, so you can make as well good use of this information for you, your life and the life of others…
Mind, Body and Spirit are constantly interconnected. That is a fact! Just by the understanding of this principle, we can master our lives and the way we live them in order to create the highest version of our selves in this life time reality.

Maite has done several silent meditation retreats in different parts of the world and she is an experienced international Yin and Yang yoga teacher. Her family’s background in macrobiotics brought her since a child into the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the meridian system.
This 1 Day and the 4 days retreats are an initiation into silence for those that are curious about what is it like to live for a few days of weeks in isolation, but still do not dare to jump into the full Vipassana experience. It is also designed for those experienced meditators that miss the physical active part in those long meditation retreats and have (or not) yoga experience.

Hi, I'm Sandrine. Since I can remember I like to take care of others and live in nature.
Since 2001 I have been doing energy work to help people get back on their life path. I continue to learn from each person I meet and from nature, which is an essential part of my life.
For me, nature nourishes, heals, calms, gives you energy, inspires you and allows you to connect with your essence. I have the privilege of living in the countryside of the Santuario de la Virgen de la Luz, where the healing energy is palpable. You can feel the peace immediately.
Little by little I have made a garden and an orchard and I have planted trees, flowers, and aromatic plants, to create a well-being space and share it with my friends. Since last year, I have felt that this serene and healing space should open up and benefit many more people, and I am super excited to be able to share it with you during your silent retreats. I am still in the process of transforming this corner, and I am moved that you are part of this process with your silence, your disconnection from the world for a day and your connection with yourself, with nature and beyond.
